Websites

These are some of my go-to websites for information about pet health and behaviour:

Dive a little deeper into the science

For those of you who are super nerdy (like me), here are some scientific articles or more in-depth resources on animal behaviour:

  • AAFP and ISFM Feline Environmental Needs Guidelines
  • 2024 AAFP intercat tension guidelines: recognition, prevention and management
  • American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior (AVSAB) Position Statements and Handouts
  • iaabcjournal.org

Prefer to listen to podcasts? Here are some recommendations:

Everyone learns differently, so if you would prefer to listen to people talk about animal behaviour and training, here are some of my favourite podcasts:

  • Enrichment for the Real World
  • It's Training Cats and Dogs
  • Behaviour Buzzzzzz with 2 Amys
  • Drinking From the Toilet
  • Pet Professional Guild (PPG)

Edmonton, AB, Canada

Radiant Cats acknowledges that I am a settler that resides and makes a living on land that is referred to as Treaty 6 Territory, which is the traditional and ancestral lands of the Nêhiyaw (Nay-hee-yow), Dene (Deh-neyh), Anishinaabe (Ah-nish-in-ah-bay), Nakota Isga (Na-koh-tah ee-ska), Niitsitapi (Nit-si-tahp-ee), Métis (May-tea), and Inuit peoples. I recognize that amiskwacîwâskahikan, colonially known as Edmonton, is currently, and since time immemorial, called home by many Indigenous peoples.  I am committed to learning about, honouring, and celebrating Indigenous ways of knowing and their connections to the animals who share this land with us.

2026 Update

I’m thrilled to share that I've completed a 6 month training program and am now a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner (KPA CTP).

While completing this certification, I experienced high demand and reduced capacity, leading to longer wait times. My response time has continued to be delayed as I strive to reply to every cat guardian who has requested my services over the past few months.

If you are in urgent need of assistance, please consider reaching out to Little Weirdos Training.

I appreciate your patience and understanding as I work to better serve you and our feline friends!
